Congratulations to all. Our County Parks Commission has voted yes to support the acquisition of the old Pacific Coast Railway parcels that lead through Edna Valley and down into Price Canyon. They have sent a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors to purchase the parcels with Parks Facilities Funds (or other Funds). Supervisor Paul Teixeira spoke at the podium mentioning that there may be alternate funding opportunities and thus we might not need to use Parks Funds for all of this purchase. Many local businesses and agencies spoke in favor of the project. Not one person spoke against. The vote was 4 -0 (one commissioner was absent)
The item will now proceed to the Supervisors… and you will all need to show up then and voice your support.
Thank YOU!
Eric
Thanks for the efforts Eric. Keep me posted on the supes and when that will occur. Had I not stumbled across Amy Kardel’s facebook post last week with a link to your blog I would not have known about what you were doing. Guess I had better subscribe to your blog…
Congratulations Eric. Good work.
